Same Words, Different Soil
Why I'm leaving Twitter for Threads after 14 Years and 6,574 posts.
I spent 14 years on Twitter.
Since 2011, I tweeted 6,574 times and somehow received 20,000+ likes from friends and strangers. Maybe some of you? And yes, every single like or reply made me smile.
At my peak in 2017, I posted 2,014 times. Nearly six times a day!
But last year? Only eight. Total.
I didn’t run out of things to say. The platform changed. So did I.
My most popular post over there still feels fitting today:
“The difference between a flower and a weed is judgment.”
So here I am. Same words. Different soil.
I’m moving slower now. Writing a little less. Meaning it a lot more.
I’ll be repurposing some old thoughts alongside new ones on Threads.
Not to relive them.
To see which ones still grow.
I hope you’ll join me.

A hill I’ll die on, “Joe Versus the Volcano” is a better Tom Hanks / Meg Ryan movie than “Sleepless in Seattle”
