Februa, Florida, and Falling Quiet
February is Februa, the Roman ritual of purification, which is on brand as Ohio exhales a thaw. A reminder everyone is allowed to start over.
Hosted two days of marketing training where the energy in the room surprised even me. 66 treadmill miles, 9 Beli stops, and exactly 1 bowl of Gazpacho. Some smoothies, Sourdough, Coffee, and Buc-ee’s along the way. Homemade pitas paired with dip for the Super Bowl. The internet had opinions (on the event not my bread). I shared my thoughts on AI hype commercials. 134,000 people agreed.
Stayed up late to watch USA win monobob gold. Starting over doesn't mean starting young. Ice box at a Blue Jackets game. Hockey is a different sport when you can see the players' breath. Cats always insisting on their own agenda, indifferent to mine. I respect it.
A few days spent behind the camera producing a memento for half a century worth celebrating. The kind of work that makes the room fall quiet. More in March.

A brief visit to the oldest city in America. Sunrise beach runs have a way of making purification feel less like a concept and more of fact. Salty air, wet sand, movement before the brain has fully committed to the day. A lighthouse standing watch over all of it, unbothered, pointing up. My parents were there for the winter. Some things don't need more explanation than that.
Nunc coepi. Now I begin. February doesn't ask for much. Just that you show up and shake off what January left behind.
