Celebrating 50 Years

Fifty years in 90 seconds. A year of my own toil in here too.

Hundreds of lines written and cut. Fifty years of company history debated, compressed, then revised over and over again. “Brick by brick” didn’t make it past the first round. Any builder can say that.

A handful of words survived when nothing shorter could say it better:

"Built by hand. Made in America." This line hits home. Fifty years of carpenters, framers, masons, and superintendents made it true. One home at a time, out in the elements, with the skill and care only real humans can possess. Since 1976.

"Half a century behind us. A lifetime ahead of you." That one is my favorite. It looks backwards and forwards. It appreciates the company's past and hands our future to someone else. On the golden anniversary of our founding, we spend our last words on the customer. That’s what we’ve always done. “Treat the customer right.”
